Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
